Hi friends 🙂

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to you for your support! Whether it be through prayer, sharing my posts, or making a donation, it means the world to me. This blog is going to be a little update on how my life + fundraising has been going the past few months.

Life has been, I guess you could say… going. I had a plan, goals, and so many ideas of what my year would look like and it has been disappointing to not be able to follow them. But none of those things could compare to where I am now. Everyday looks differently and presents itself with new (and very hard) challenges, but God has been there every step of the way whispering encouragement and slowly cutting away at the negative aspects of my life; including some of my friends. It has been hard, but I have learned to lean onto God for support and trust His timing and plan rather than my own, which I still struggle with.

In terms of how fundraising is going, well in the normal 2020 style, none of that has gone according to plan either (in a good way). When I was first accepted onto the race, I literally had a whole spreadsheet of different fundraisers, how much money I would raise every month, when I would be starting each fundraiser, etc. My fundraising goal for the end of the year was $3,250, and on my own, sure I could have raised the money. But with God’s provision, I have been introduced to so many opportunities to share my faith, the World Race, and to fundraise. Here I am with $2,975 raised + a handful of promised donations, more blessed and supported than I could have imagined. And God just keeps showing up, guiding me and providing more and more opportunities to connect with all of you! I will say this a million times more over the next year, but you all are so incredible and generous and I am so grateful.

If ever want to get involved in helping me, here are some ways:

PRAYER: This is really the most important way.

  • Please pray for safety and wellbeing for me and my squad.

  • God’s continued provision in fundraising and new opportunities to share His word and what he is doing in my life.

  • Perseverance in everyday tasks and school work.

Join a raffle: My grandmother and aunt are holding a raffle through the end of November and there are some pretty amazing prizes!

Buy some skin care: My Mom has recently joined Rodan and Fields, which provided amazing skin care products. Contact her to get some more info!

Donations: Though my needs are more than just financial, donations and fundraising are important in actually getting me to Thailand or Eswatini. If you are feeling called to donate, please do so. If you aren’t sure yet whether you want to, pray over it. I am always here to talk if you ever have any questions.

Thank you all so much for interacting with my blog and any social media posts, as well as for donating or joining one of the fundraisers above. You are all such a blessing to me and my family. Please reach out if you have any questions or would just like to catch up.

All the love,

     Caroline
